Comporta Retreat 13

Lot 13 in Grândola hosts a five-bedroom single-family home with a swimming pool, composed of two elements: the main house and a small annex. The house itself is made up of three parallelepiped volumes, each with different dimensions and programmatic functions. The central and tallest volume contains the social areas: the living and dining rooms, forming a large glazed space that connects the entrance patio to the main outdoor area to the south. This space acts as the project’s core, opening generously to the landscape and extending onto an exterior deck.

To the east lies the private zone, with the bedrooms, office, and multipurpose room. All of these spaces are supported by outdoor deck platforms and a small patio that enhances natural light and spatial comfort. To the west, in a more compact volume, are the kitchen, garage, storage areas, and technical spaces.

The relationship with the outdoors is fundamental to the project, featuring large south-facing glazed openings, continuous decks, and an infinity concrete pool that merges with the surrounding landscape. The flat roofs alternate between rolled gravel, landscaped areas, and panoramic terraces.
